From Cambridge University Caving Club - CUCC wiki
I've drawn all the surveys up in complete detail, I'm just using this simplified style to try and create something that's appropriate for a magazine page. A big pretty poster size sketch on the way, have to sort out all the qms first. -Aaron 17:33, 2 December 2007 (UTC)
Things I already know need fixing:
*Bigger labels
*Strange pitch near Oompah
- Add a grid
*A few small areas aren't subsetted and so appear white
Things I'd like your opinion on
- Names
- I've renamed Literal North to "Littoral North." While this may not be funny, at least it isn't inane. In case you don't know, littoral essentially means coastal/ intertidal.
- Shading
- Should I use different shades for different areas? At the moment the pitches dropping from the main level are darker, and the entrance pitch is different, but otherwise it's the same.
- Grid
- Does anyone know an easy way of creating a grid in tunnel?

- Columns, as created using the area flag rock should be surrounded by wall lines (not detail lines).
- Thick wall lines should not be used in areas.
- Reduce width of/remove thick white lines around higher areas.
- The areas are rendered as grey, however black lines in them look like they are antialiased to white, creating a strange speckly affect.
- Edit out comments.
- Look at wall line in the three way junction in maxpleasure3, it seems to think that it is on a higher level than the rest of that cave.
- Text labels need to be big enough to be read at A4, or removed.
- Symbol size needs increasing, if it is to be seen.
- Number QMs?
- 3d boulders should have sharp edges. (In the BCRA symbol set)
