Suggestions from last year, for what to get this year:
- warm-up Kohinoor curries (about 120?)
-> Sorted! We are getting 120 of them for half price (75p per packet). --Zucca 11:23, 10 June 2009 (UTC)
- couscous to go with curries - it's so much easier to cook than rice
-> Do people suggest to buy this in Austria? --Zucca 11:23, 10 June 2009 (UTC)
-> I guess if we can. I wonder if Austrians like cous cous.... Kathryn
- tortellini (need say 25-50% more than last year - how many did we get last year? 40? Did we get them in Austria?)
-> I personally don't know. Does anybody know? Where they from the local Aldi? --Zucca 11:23, 10 June 2009 (UTC)
-> I've got a feeling last year we brought some over from the UK but also found more in Austria.--Edvin
-> Yes, we did get some in the UK (but I can't remember how many either!) but they had some in the Aldi at Bad Ischl, which is a fair drive away, but probably worth it at the beginning of expo to stock up. Kathryn
- pesto (about 20 jars? Can we decant them into non-glass containers so don't need to carry glass up and down hill? Or buy in big plastic jars?)
-> I couldn't find any kind of pesto in plastic jars or big jars, so buying pesto in Austria and decanting it in big jars probably the best option. --Zucca 11:23, 10 June 2009 (UTC)
- NON-tomato instant soups (say 50 packets)
- chocolate bars (but NOT too many - around 125 at base and 100 at top camp still)
-> These two from tesco/bookers? --Zucca 11:23, 10 June 2009 (UTC)
-> Think we concluded that the supermarket own brand ones were actually cheaper than the bookers ones. Kathryn
- bread making ingredients - get this in Austria?
-> Yes! Last year we did it and there was no problem with that. --Zucca 11:23, 10 June 2009 (UTC)
- nuts/sunflower seeds for adding to breakfast stuff
- flavoured Oatsos (to go with the hundreds of plain ones we already have ... or at least raisins etc to add to plain ones)
-> These last two are AFAIK being substituted by the Dorset cereal. --Zucca 11:23, 10 June 2009 (UTC)
